Hollidge Tract, York Regional Forest Headquarters

This 200 acre forest tract was acquired in 1924 to reforest the Oak Ridges Moraine and surrounding lands that had become desert-like through deforestation. Here you will find an exhibit of historical photographs, plus wildlife specimens on a ‘touch table’, including beaver, fox and bear pelts. Hikes will be offered at 11am and 1pm leaving from the Nature’s Classroom Building.
