In 1898 the Fire Brigade was formed in the Village of Whitchurch-Stouffville, followed in 1900 by the construction of the first fire hall. The current state-of-the-art fire station opened in 2009. Recently awarded gold in the Volunteer/Combination category of Fire Chief magazine’s 2010 Station Style Design Awards, the architecture of the station incorporates a strong heritage theme.
